Heike Philp is CEO of let’s talk online sprl, based in Brussels, Belgium, immersive language education specialist. With over 25 years in language education and with Germany’s first live online language school, Philp co-initiated 5 European funded projects and has been working with universities to develop accredited and certified teacher training courses for language teaching and learning in immersive environments.
These EU Projects are LANCELOT (LANguage learning with CErtified Live OnlineTeachers, 2005-2007) and AVALON (Access to Virtual and Action Learning live Online, 2009-2011) about language teaching and learning in a virtual classroom or virtual world, CAMELOT (CreAting Machinima Empowers Live Online language Teaching and learning, since 2013) about machinima (videos of 3D worlds) of language learning conversations and GUINEVERE (Games Used IN Engaging Virtual Environments for Real-time language Education, start 2017-2019), about games in virtual worlds. Her latest project EXCALIBUR (EXpanding Content And Language Integrated Learning through BUilding a Sustainable Future in Realtime) started in March 2022 and is about developing building skills in virtual environments.
Philp runs her own web conferences: Virtual Round Table Web Conference on Language Learning Technologies, DaFWEBKON for teachers of German and vLanguages in Second Life. She co-owns EduNation islands in Second Life and OpenSim.
Helena Galani has been an English language teacher since 1988 focusing on TESOL, EAP and designing online courses through the use of Educational technologies. She holds an R.S.A. Diploma from the University of Cambridge/UCLES, an M.A. in ELT (Applied Linguistics) from the University of Nottingham, Certification in teacher training and advanced ICT skills.
As accredited TESOL/EAP tutor and educator for the Hellenic Ministry of Education and Lifelong Learning, Helena specialises in the field of exam oriented classes of all age-groups in Greece, UK and online with the use of educational technology including Virtual Worlds. She has been a formal examiner with Pearson, NOCN,UCLES and the National Foreign Languages Exam System in Greece. She has also taught EAP (University of Nottingham), and trained teachers in a Virtual World for INDIRE on edMondo and won first prize for CAMELOT Project EU in 2015. As moderator during EVO ViLLAGE, Helena trains teachers on the usefulness of designing games, Interactive Scenarios, Transmedia Storytelling experiences and building in VR for ELT/EAP. Helena owns "ELT Treasure Island", a world for English language learners, on Kitely, OpenSim. Her areas of interest are in the use of educational technology to enhance learner autonomy and learning experiences.

Martin Lillo has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences and he is a Language Technician, graduate from the Universidad Nacional de Río Cuarto. He speaks English, German, French, Portuguese and Spanish is his mother tongue. He is an educator at heart having taught English, German, Mathematics and Computer Sciences. He is a webmaster and video editor.
